The Avon volleyball team captured its third straight Southwestern Conference title on Thursday night with a 3-0 win over Berea-Midpark on the road. Coach Bendzuck’s Eagles finished the regular season 19-3 overall and an unblemished 18-0 record in the conference.
Avon earned the number three seed in the Grafton District of the OHSAA Volleyball Tournament and will play on Saturday October 20th at Midview High School at noon. They await the winner of No. 6 Amherst Steele and No. 11 Lorain.
